NZ Army medics jailed

Not something I really wanted to post...but thought I should, to service as a warning to anyone else thinking of abusing the system!

I'm assuming that when they say Penthrax in the article that they actually mean Penthrox. I would be curious to hear the details of this that have warranted jail. Obviously taking drugs from work isn't ever right, but we're not even talking about a narcotic here.
 
Theft is theft and should be treated as such.
 
It might not be narcotic, but they stole it, and used it outside of its purpose.
 
I think the main charge here is for substance abuse and not actually stealing the drug as such.
I've known of cases within the ambulance service in New Zealand of ambulance officers being fired, after being caught inhaling entonox(laughing gas).
I haven't heard of them being jailed for such an act in the public legal system though.
I guess the military have their own way of dealing with such cases, as shown in this news article.
