Im taking my NR next week
and I was wondering how they test you?
do they give you certain topics and focus on those??? (ex, seizures, stroke, and anaphylaxis)

OR

do they test you based on EVERYTHING?? (meaning every topic)

and can you guys give me the heads up, any tips?

thanx

It's computer adaptive testing. As the test identifies your weak areas, it will ask questions in those areas, which should become progressively easier. But they can test on anything and everything contained in the national standard curriculum.

Do a search on here. Many threads asking the same question, with good answers. Also see the sticky threads at the top of this category for practice quizzes and prep material. Goodluck.

for the national registry

will they test me on "skills" as well? or just written?

I assume you are testing for basic EMT, which means that you would have been certified as competent in your skills during class. The NR no longer does practical exams for FRs or EMTBs. Your instructor should have told you all of this. If they didn't, please let the school know that they need to explain the NREMT and State licensing process better.
