Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone could help me out with a confusing NR situation. I recently made the genius move of allowing my NR to lapse (3/13). As it happens, a week after I got a call about a dream job opportunity so I'm exploring recerting. I have been unaffiliated since May of 2012, but have a current Paramedic license in Georgia expiring in 2014. As far as I can tell I will require a 48 hour refresher course, and completion of the cognitive and psychomotor exams.
However, when I reached out to my old school for a refresher course I was told that I could take the four hour "transition course" to transition from a state license to NR. This seems, odd. I was unable to find any information about this, outside of the NR "transition course" to transition from what I'm assuming is NREMT-P's with a current license to transition to Paramedic (NRP). I was unable to contact the NR today, so any help is greatly appreciated.
