Hey all,

I'm currently waiting to take my NRAEMT examinations. Since AEMT is an unfamiliar title to me, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the whole thing. In a nutshell, I'm wondering what the main concentrations are on the cognitive examination. The way I understand it, it leans heavily on pathophysiology. Other than that, I'm sort of in the dark and would like to know if anyone else has taken these exams. If you have, it would be most helpful to have an idea of what to expect. Thanks for any help in advance!

Whatever you went over in class and in your book is fair game.

Never taken it but the NREMT-I/85 was all over the map. Asked stuff about everything.

i was thnking "National Rifle Association EMT - if i cant fix you i can euthanase you" :D

I am in the same boat that you are. I have been studying a little bit of everything but I was told it had a good bit of anatomy and physiology. I am a little bit worried.

I've also heard to expect anything and everything. I'm not too nervous, I've worked hard this semester and although it's definitely a big step, I'm confident that my training will be sufficient.
