Howdy y'all- does anyone here happen to know who covers Lubbock? I know AMR has Amarillo and Guardian has Abilene, but who has Lubbock? (I think it's UMC, but their website is horrible).

SPEMS is the regional medical control. Fairly progressive (RSI, CPAP, therapeutic hypothermia).

South Plains EMS. Lubbock is in the South Plains region.

Ok, I understand now. SO SPEMS is not an actualy EMS angencies. It provides oversight

Correct. There are a lot of rural agencies in that area, so rather than try to set up 30 different medical controls, they all follow one.

Besides umc lubbock, what are some of the other EMS services in that area?

AMR Amarillo (great reputation), a few county and hospital-based agencies, and a private service in Pecos, TX.

Pay looks like it ranges wildly.
