I've come to the conclusion that El Paso, with the exception of the (good) EPFD, is a pretty dry market when it comes to EMS, and although AMR in Las Cruces, Sierra Vista EMS in Truth or Consequences, and my current employer Culberson County EMS are good alternates, I'd like to see what else is out there for my big ETS move late next year. So, I was wondering- what are some good full-time options for a young paramedic in the North Texas/all of New Mexico region? (As much as I'd love to move east, my wife kinda wants to stay in El Paso or at least the region, so I'm trying to oblige). I'll be out of the Army by December 2012, so I reckon I should start looking for a real job soon.

Who covers Lubbock, Amarillo, and the surrounding areas, what's the pay like, etc?

Ideally, I'm looking for a busy system with good pay and benefits. Personal favorites right now are El Paso FD, AMR, Albequerque Ambulance, and Sierra Vista, but I'm very, very open to any recommendations.

Thanks, y'all.

Many thanks....what's the pay average up there? Specifically, around Amarillo and Albequerque?
