Non and Not-for-Profit Services

Greetings,

I'm trying to compile a list of either not-for-profit or non-profit ambulance services, and I'm not having much success searching through Google. Do any of you know services that fit this description? My guess is that most of them will be services run by cities or counties, etc., but if there are any others that you can think of I'd be much appreciative.

The reason for the inquiry is that working for such a service would help reduce my student loan debt by allowing me to participate in a certain program.

I'd look at hospitals with transport services, but you'll have to read the fine print.

Example: the private I work for operates in CA but is part of East Texas Medical Center. The hospital is non-profit but the transport service is for-profit.

I do not believe municipal agencies can be considered NPOs.
