Just got hired as a new medic, just wondering what should I expect towards orientation?

While I'm not in your area, I can speak to generalities. You can expect to be oriented to your EMS protocols, hospital/facility locations & associated info, your company policies and procedures, driving/EVOC, and probably put with an FTO to make sure you're up to company standards for providing care.

If they just hand you a protocol book, a mapbook, and keys to an ambulance and tell you to go forth and don't kill anyone, then they're not doing you or anyone else a favor... especially if you've never worked as a Paramedic before.

I still got a week until I start, and trying to get a better idea what I'm in for. Told me I'm third riding until I'm MAC'd in then I'll be doing IFT/911 back up. I'm still trying to understand the whole REMAC testing, there's literally no information about it online.
