Hello everyone.
thanks for the opportunity to come someplace and chat with
other ems'ers. Kind of disgruntled with the fire scene, maybe
it's just me but hey I still love it.

thanks everyone, I really appreciate the hospitality.
Hope all is well with all the students I see. I plan on
being a student again this fall, when I try my hand at the
Paramedic program at the University of Missouri.
Gotta go, kids are wanting ice cream.

I'm thinking of starting the medic program in the fall as well... Seems like that's all that's being hired right now (at least at a living wage)... Good luck to you, and once again, welcome :)

That ain't no lie. Seems everywhere I look, if you don't have that "P"
after the EMT then you're pretty much sol. But if you do have that nice
little letter, you almost have a shoe in, here in Missouri, they are screaming
for medics. (That's the concensus I have gotten)
Even with the Jefferson City Fire Dept, Lake of the Ozarks Fire Dept., Osage Beach, MU, the list goes on and on Paramedic is the way to go.
(Sigh)!!!!!!!! I had to explain to my fiancee' that the school can be very
demanding. Good luck to you as well.:)
