Hi, I'm Nikki. I have been looking into going to school to become an EMT. Anyone from Orlando? I'm looking at going to Valencia Community College. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is demand for EMT here in Orlando?
 
East Orlando here... Just passed my NREMT and waiting on my State License. So far things look a litttle slow, but I am positive and really want to be in this field so will do what I have to.

Florida is one of the heavily oversaturated markets for EMTs mostly due to the low qualification standards for the job.
 
Lake Mary Area, Yes VERY crowded with EMT's...

Check out Seminole State CC and Valencia. I have heard that Valencia provides a better education, but that could very well be a matter of personal opinion. There are quite a few members from the central FL area on here so if you have any more questions feel free...
 
Thanks for the replys. Looks like I'm better off going for my RN. The EMT job market isn't looking to good here in Orlando.
 
Or maybe people are discouraging you to get rid of competition o.o...
