Hey my name its Tonya i am 25 years old and i am a new emt. I was accepted into Boston ems. I was going to start the acadamy but due to our lovely economy they have no money for new recruits right now. I am working for a private company right now i feel like i am going to forget all my emergency training by the time i get to Boston.
 
Welcome to the site! Before jumping into Boston's academy; you might investigate other programs unless you are for certain that is the area you will remain in.

What he said. Boston Fire/Rescue has a bit of a nasty reputation of corruption. Whether or not it's warranted, I don't know, but it may hurt you if you try to go anywhere else with your training.

Boston Fire and Boston EMS are totally separate entities.
