I hope this doesn't come off as something dumb to ask, but I'm over the years after high school I'm still considering going into training to start my road down being a EMT and in the future a Paramedic. However, with few options to start a EMT class near me unless I move, which isn't really an option right now, would you guys find this to be a good option if I were to do training?

Like, if a friend asked you if this was a good option to learn from, would the information from just in that link give you a good resounding "Yes, go for that" or "It's probably worth your time and money for that." Or no?

You can probably go to most schools and be fine. Once you are an EMT/paramedic, people don't even talk about or know which school you came from. To be certified, they have to meet a minimum expectation.

The instructors really make or break the quality of the program. Maybe you could sit down with one of their instructors and get a read from that?

I agree with @Seirende. Instruction matters - a program taught by providers (physicians, especially) or EMS providers with advanced degrees have been better, in my experience.

Also, keep in mind - higher education (associates' degrees and beyond) are the wave of the future for EMS...think about getting one, even if it isn't required.

Funny enough, I'm actually a junior in the college that provides that academy for the EMS program. My major is in Chemistry but I might switch it up to Biology. But yeah, I heard that getting a degree goes a long way.

MCG academy is a good course to take, if your able. They have a lot of top notch EMS training and Education at MCG.
