The service where I work as a PRN medic is looking for experienced medics and is offering a $1500 full time sign on bonus. I don't have a current pay scale handy, but it's between $15-20/hour plus weekend and night differential, depending on your experience.

It's a hospital based service that provides 911 to the county. It's a pretty decent mix of hospital/hospital ALS transfers and 911. Lots of sick people and highway/rural style trauma. Decent equipment, mostly new trucks, decent stations. Protocols are typical Georgia. No RSI, but everything else is standard.

So why do they need medics? They recently had a management change and they're rebuilding the staff... it's really changed for the better.

The hospital also has an excellent education program. If you decide that you've had enough EMS and want to move to nursing or become a PA, the hospital will pay your education if you agree to stay and work for a while. It's a pretty good deal.

If you're interested in a move to South Georgia, drop me a note and I'll pass you the application info.

I cannot figure out the messaging on this forum. Message me, I live and work in south ga, curious as to which service is paying that well.
