Naltrexone

I recently found out about this and a similar injection form of medication.

Has anyone taken these and can share their experiences?

I didn't realize alchohol affects opiate receptors.

It seems very interesting, but there's not a whole lot of information about it.

How does it block the effects of alchohol but judgment is still affected?

Any other input from this?

Takes away the pleasure/desire. That's the simple way to describe it.
It is a common medication in addiction medicine.
