So recently Medi/Medi made their way to LA county and started auditing all these IFT ambulance companies. I've heard of a few companies closing their doors completely and another that laid off about 75% of their employees. New EMTs beware of these shiesty companies when job hunting as your job may be short lived. How is this going to effect the already struggling job market in LA? What companies should we be on the look-out for?

I heard Trans-Aid got raided. Licenses revoked shut down completely. WestCoast amb. had to lay off 50+ employees and sell 17 rigs.. and Medi still hasnt audited most of the county.

Haven't been audited yet and only know of one company that I think is closing its doors but because they cancelled their auto insurance. Not sure if that is the result of them getting busted and basically once you without medicare you pretty much done.

Is it me, or were there more posts in this thread once upon a time?
