Additionally from my knowledge you can have a lapsed cert, and there is a "new initiative" to help get it re-instated if you aide with the pandemic. It seems there's also something about expanded scope of practice, and getting credit for your work (seems applicable to medics, not so much EMTs from my knowledge).. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH if interested. just giving this a throw at the wall
