On Thursday he walked into University Hospital with a smile on his face and no pulse to speak of.

The strange thing is Robert Kupfner will tell you he hasn't felt this alive in years.

"I feel really good," he told 9NEWS.

"No pulse," his wife Adrienne Kupfner said with a bit of a smile. "It's weird. It's weird."
 
Easiest set of V/S ever. No pulse and no detectable non-invasive blood pressure (no beats, no Korotkoff sounds).
 
So it's basically a bypass machine in a backpack providing continuous flow instead of pumps
 
Thanks for the link to that thread Vent. These devices are fascinating. Can't imagine sitting there squeezing a hand pump like my life depended on it...
