I drive by a few times a week and agree it is a nice looking facility. With it being new Im sure it has all the latest innovations and would no doubt be a great place to work. The hospital where I worked up north was just getting ready to open its stand alone state of the art childrens hospital complete with its own ER. I was really looking forward to working with all the new toys, the staff had alot of input as far as design and layout which is pretty cool if you think about it.

How long have you been looking at a tech job and where else would you recomend I look. I have six years of level one ER experience with a good mix of adult and peds (I prefer peds) and 10 years FF/EMT field time. I really just want on call or per diem since my full time job comes first at least for another ten years or so. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have been trying to get with AMR here in riverside or hemet for a while...just trying to get on a box or in the ER for more experience. Im currently working at a Casino as a EMT.. but Carona regional has had a few openings once and awhile. Loma Linda say they have two openings online but like I said before....applied for every opening that has come up and get no response from HR...oh if your near the area Tri-city hospital hires quite a few per diem i think

I just got an email from HR saying they were passing my application on to the ER manager. If it is anything like my last place it means I made the first cut and should be invited to interview,of course every ER manager is different but most really hate the hiring process and want it over and done ASAP. This is good and is a real bonus for an applicant that has experience.

Have you done any research on their department that you might want to share. You could PM me if you like. I have been doing some digging but there is not much out there. I should make a visit and have a look around and introduce myself to the manager but I have no idea on the hiring time line. First hand knowledge is always best so maybe someone who has transported a patient into their ER might be able to offer up some observations. The culture of each ER is different and knowing how the team works is important in preparing the proper interview strategy. Any thoughts?

I have gotten that same email many times but never got an interview.. so don't get your hopes up too high...but I really would recommend stopping by to introduce yourself
