What kind of protective gear does your agency issue you? Are you expected to purchase anything with your own money?

We are provided with a PPE pouch that initially contains Oakley safety glasses, an N95 mask, a fluid splask mask, and an Atropine/2-PAM autoinjector set. We are also issued USAR rescue turnouts for vehicle extrication scenes, ballistic vests (level II), CBRN respirators, winter jackets/raincoats with zip-in liners, helmets, and extrication/work gloves. We also get the silly crossing guard yellow raingear that no one keeps. We have a radiation pager issued to each ambulance that one crew member must carry.

non-latex exam gloves. and a bright shiney yellow rain jacket. nothing else is issues to us as PPE.

Full timers get a nice bright yellow rain jacket with a removable liner...we dont have anything else issued to us. There are other jackets that people can wear if they don't have their own

But the ambulances/jump bags have tons of gloves, safety glasses, N95 masks, other types of masks, PPE Kits (with gowns, booties, gloves, face shield), face shields, glasses, etc.
