Alright, so I just got home from a 3 month stint on active duty with the Army so I am finally about to go out and find a job lol. Here is my game plan:

Drive from Sacramento to AMR in Napa, CA (1.5 hrs) to personally hand them my application and EMT paperwork stuff, then drive over to Verihealth (another .5 hr) and grace them with my presence, then bless Paramedics Plus, then Bay Medic, then AMR Solano, then stop at Travis AFB and pick up my dry cleaning.

Does this seem like a good idea? I don't like submitting applications online, I feel like I have better luck when HR can put a face to the application.

Do you think I should grab a fresh haircut, my hair was just cut last week before my weekend a month gig.

Also, should I dress casual, or wear dress pants and a dress shirt?

Eh, the dry cleaning part might be a little sketchy.....

And as for what to wear, maybe business casual? Or possibly even a more casual shirt and tie. Don't be fancy, but do look nice, that's for sure.

You may want to call and ask if applications will be accepted in-person. The division may not have a choice in the matter when it comes to corporate mandates.

So call HR and ask, I know Verihealth accepts in-person, I am going to call AMR and Paramedics Plus and ask them tomorrow.

Fresh haircut or is a week old one good?

Also, I had surgery on my ankle last friday (slammed an up-armor Humvee door on it), I am wearing a boot-shoe thing, should I try to put a normal shoe on? (or is the question sounding like medical advice?)

AMR will only accept applications through its online portal. Go in and hand them an application and they will show you the door.

Most companies don't care what you look like. If your application and skills are appropriate for the job then they will bring you in for an interview. That is when the put a face to the name.
