I was wondering about the possibility of having an area for those who teach EMS, be it basic, I or Paramedic level or labs- that way, those who wish could post any materials they may give to their class that they might feel would help other students here as well as let us know who might be willing to help "quiz" or explain certain things, as those who are teachers may be more willing to reach out. Just an idea.

I teach an EMT course, and work with students 1:1 on a regular basis, but the materials I use are either my work, or represent work and property of those I teach with and for, and we generally don't distribute online.

I, as well as many others are generally around to answer specific questions, and I think you'll find many resources and answered questions by searching the forum. In general these questions go into EMS Talk or Education...

Do you have any particular questions?

I understand wanting credit for things you have made, but I would always make sure to give credit when it is due. I know a lot of people on here are up for questions, but some may be a bit more adapt at teaching than others. Case in point: My instructor is WONDERFUL, she is actually a professor; however, a few Paramedics I have talked to in my area are nice and knowledgeable but struggle to make the information easy to understand with my current knowledge. I never said this was a good idea haha. Just playing.

Join the NAEMSE and you have free reign to the trading post with thousands of documents PPT, illustrations etc.

Use the education and training section?
I've received some good pointers there. Best are through PM's though.

The Community Leaders are loathe to keep adding specialty sub-forums for a variety of reasons, but we're willing to do so if there is enough interest and it serves a purpose.

1) One thing that is difficult to overcome is the aesthetic aspect. Too many sub-forums lead to a cluttered appearance and some important/informative posts can be missed simply because a member doesn't scroll down to see those forums.
2) The more specialized sub-forums we have, the more the Community Leaders have to clean up and move posts that were posted in the wrong forum.
3) The more sub-forums that are present will also result in several of those forums seeing little to no activity for long periods of time because they are meant for topics brought up so rarely.

For now, I'd suggest using the Education and Training forum. If the Community Leaders see more interest and activity in this subject, we're willing to revisit the issue in the future.
