I'm scheduled to do a lift test soon, and I'm apprehensive.

So I applied to an ambulance company and I was told to take a lift test.

At 130lbs and 5 ft 7, I'm underweight. I don't lift but I exercise every weekday by taking a Krav Maga class.

I can do 8 pullups though, which means that I can lift my own weight 8 times. From what I've heard, the test is a backboard lift of 175lbs 6 times. Should I worry?

Go to the gym and try to do a dead lift of 175 lbs... Only way to say.
I can't say I've heard of someone having you lift it 8 times (norm of what I've seen is 1), but...

Deadlifts. Do them.

Ps... Look at others who work there... Anyone look like you ???? It's probably not as serious as you think. But plan for the best, prepare for the worst... Go..

Now!

Just remember you'll only be lifting a portion of that weight, hope the other person is good. On the other hand the 2/3 of America is obese, you will routinely lift people a lot heavier than that, then throw in the weight of equipment and the stretcher and you're way past 175 pounds. Learn to love the gym, especially deadlifts and squats.

My last lift test was a dead lift of 150 lbs once.

and to pick up 50lbs lift to the chest height, return to ground repeat 5 times.

The evaluator was looking more for good body mechanics vs. the ability to lift a specified amount of weight.

I passed all the lift tests and the written test :D

The lift test was pretty difficult but nothing I can't handle.
