You may now procede to hide the breakables and caffeine :) It's been a long month or so, but I'm now getting settled back in NM, working two EMS jobs (1 911, 1 IFT) and moving The Girl in tomorrow afternoon. As some of you know, I moved back home since my dad got very sick. He's doing better, almost off the vent (just on support mode at 45% o2 right now) with a trach, but things are looking a thousand times better than they were early last month. I should be starting school again to get my pre-reqs for a dual BS in EMS and Nursing this fall.
So, what'd I miss? :p

Well...

I still need to know where to get EMS pants, what the best boots are, don't forget all non ems providers are worthless, especiall outside the hospital, and follow your protocols :)

i think that about covers it :)

Brown hopes your dad gets better mate, if a strange looking fellow in a Cat in the Hat hat and orange jumpsuit with "INTENSIVEST" on the back come to the family room or his bedside be afraid .... and send somebody downstairs to warm the car up so you can take him to another hospital.

You left out the 2 most important discussions that he missed.

1. Stethoscopes.

2. Fire vs EMS with everyone actually agreeing after all these years. :o Okay I lie about the agreeing.

Umm, also do you know where the best place to take NREMT practice tests online is? :P

Oh and as you can see, Brown has begun to revert back to the orange jumpsuit :D

Don't forget "I've got a couple questions!" followed by "Man you guys are so mean why wont you help me with my homework!" haven't we had a few of those recently.

It's their slang for drinking, if I'm not mistaken. Idk who made the connection between alcohol and piss though...

You are correct however "taking the piss" is what you could call person orientated sarcasm without malice or hurtful intent, which Americans do not seem to understand and get all offended and worked up over it thinking we are being rude.

For example

Black: It's really cold in here

Brown: That is because you as bald as a babies arse and you're loosing heat through your non existent hair mate

Black: I would hit you with the oxygen tank but I can see you are just taking the piss
