Usually not bad, most areas have an IFT service that hires brand new basics. and they tend to have fairly high turnovers because, well, they hire brand new basics.
Ask around, someone should be able to point you in the right direction. (Try your instructor, that EMT you know, or go down to your local ER and wait until you see someone cleaning their truck and go ask them.)
