Hello again to all my friends at EMTLife! You have all been there for me through a very rough time, and I wanted to share my exciting news. Although I failed Medic School by a lousy 2 points last fall, I got back on my feet and applied again at two other good medic schools. I got accepted to both!! I had my interview at the second, closer school on tuesday, and they accepted me right then and there after my interview! I'd been up front with them about what had happened to me at the other school on my first try, getting A's in everything and then failing 2 rythm strips, etc...and they said they knew they wanted me in their program all along!!
The instructor interviewing me said I was only one who'd impressed them, and it showed that I had the heart and determination for being a medic. They told me I was the only one they'd ever accepted during an interview-everyone else will be waiting 3 weeks for a letter. I can't tell you all how happy I am!! I won't let anything stop me now from going on and being the best medic student I can be! I also won a $4,000.00 scholarship to attend the program. (I submitted a letter about why I wanted to become a medic, and one day, a flight medic) Even though I'm only begining, that goal is there, and gets stronger every day. Any and all advice from you prior to heading into medic school is welcomed.
