How long before entering Medic school?

Well, I just want your own personal opinion. Off the bat from becoming an EMT-B. How long do you think someone should take until they should apply for medic school? (Please disregard any added prerequisites from a medic school into the equation). Personally. I say two years until you get into the routine and have a solid foundation to build upon.

I went to medic school only 7months after getting my basic. I don't think its how many years in ems, but how mature and how willing to learn the person is.
