Here is a link to Honlulu EMS's website. It's a third service provider that serves the entire island of Oahu. Seems like a pretty progressive system as well. Anybody heard anything about it? Know anyone who works there (or do you work there yourself)?
 
HAHA... sweet. I'd move to Hawaii to work as a Basic. I have family over there too!

Looks like they don't have basics - just EMT-I and Medic. http://www.honolulu.gov/esd/ems/emsemply.htm

Of course that could be EMT-One, but 400 hours is a lot for a basic - almost four times the national standard. Not that most people here will think that's enough time. :D
 
Good luck...Native preference is a HUGE qualifier (not saying I am against it) just know that it is a major deciding factor when being considered for employment.

Yeah... my cousins have said that. they've been over there since they were little... but It'd be hard for me to cause im not local to them.
