Ok so I had a interview today. My interview was at 2pm. I showed up at 1:30. When I walked in and told the receptionist what I was there for there were a few men sitting in some chairs having a conversation. She told me to have a seat and she would tell the lady that was interviewing me that I was there. So I sit down to wait and the gentlemen said hi and we had a casual conversation. They asked me some questions about why I was there and such just like 2 strangers would do. I'm sitting there thinking man these 2 have interviews also. So the lady calls me into her office and starts my interview. She asked the normal questions and had all of my paperwork that I had dropped off with my application. When I turned in my application I also gave them copies of my MVR my NIMS 100 and 700. I also had a background check done on myself. I also gave them copies of my firefighter 1 and 2 and my stuff from the CDL school I went to. She asked all of the usual questions and said everything looked good. Well while she was looking things over one of the gentlemen who I was talking to earlier came in and started talking to her. Turns out he is her husband and one of the owners of the company and the other gentleman that I talked to was the other owner.. He asked her how everything looked in my papers and everything and she said it looked good. Well they had a medic come get and show me around the garage and then brought me back in. When I went back into her office both the gentlemen were in there also. They told me that I was hired. I must of had a dumb look on my face because all 3 of them started laughing. I got all of my paperwork filled out for payroll and they all 3 shook my hand and said they would see me next monday for training. Now to sit down and write them a very heart felt thank you letter. Oh by the way I applied at 3 different companies and even did a 12 hour ride along with one of them on monday *still haven't heard anything back from that company* but the company that hired me was my first choice and I'm very excited. I know this is a long post but I can't help it lol..

I've got my first day of on the job training today. Someone once told me when the veterans tell you your a dips**t dont listen, when they tell you WHY you are, then you listen to every word. good luck ^_^
 
thanks everyone. I cant wait to start. I have to get ahold of a guy at one of the hospitals to do a test to get into their ems system and then i'll do my on the job training stuff..
