My instructor said my lab group and I are passing... 3 weeks before the end of the class and that all of our videoed practicals (that are going to the NREMT) are perfect (which is the requirement otherwise we have to redo them). Kind of a little happy. Now for the final and the NREMT.

Video taped practicals? Is this a new requirement? When I took the course last year we just had a proctor who signed us off after performing the skill.

Why videotaped practicals? I would have hated that. I feel so wierd and awkward being videoed.

I dont know. I think they just started doing it like... last year? Maybe its because the state is so broad and there's only like 3-4 classes in the entire state. It actually wasn't bad because we all had lab groups and we would stop each other if something wasn't right, so we made sure it was done "perfectly." The annoying part, however, was that all done outside of class on our personal time. I guess its just how the SD program works. I know the paramedics have been reviewing them before the instructor for practice for them. I'm finding that our program seems to be different than most places.

To be fair the title of that one is also quite vague. Titles are kinda supposed to describe content...
