What you need to do is get your completion of certificate paper from school, your live scan(if you haven't done that yet you need to its required) Your NREMT card and certificate, and your CPR and go down to the San Diego county of EMS office and you'll fill out an application then they make copies of your papers that your bring and take your picture and then they hand you your County of San Diego EMT-B card.
If you haven't done your live scan make sure you get that done before going down to the EMS office. Once you get your live scan done you have to wait a few days for it to clear with the EMS office. Once you get your County of San Diego card then go to the DMV and make an appointment to take your ambulance certificate test.
haha thanks guys. Oh i was also wondering, as far as the livescan goes is it possible to just pay once and have them fill out both the dmv and county sheets?, or do i have to pay seperate for the 2?
2: Make sure you bring your actual NREMT certificate. I made the mistake of bringing just my card and I had to drive back home and get my cert.
You need 1 livescan for each. So, you have to pay twice.
+1. Same thing happened to me.
