Greetings,

My name is Greg (clearly), and I'm looking for info on ALS projects in the Fort Collins, CO or Cheyenne, WY area. I'm coming from an urban hospital-based ALS-only company in the Burlington/Camden area of New Jersey and would really like to continue to work in a high call-volume system.

I've perused the Thompson Valley EMS website, but I'm interested to know who does ALS in the actual city of Fort Collins. Does Poudre Valley run any ambulances? Also, are there any flight programs in the area besides Banner Health?

I was also wondering if the system out there is all integrated ALS and BLS, or are there any projects doing ALS-intercept (BLS runs ambulances, ALS meets them on location for ALS calls and operates a chase vehicle)?

Thanks in advance for any help/info I can get.

Poudre Valley Health runs EMS in the city of Fort Collins. I've been told it's one of the more desirable places to work for in CO and therefore competitive.

I don't know a whole lot about the flight stuff... but I do know AirLife will run up North (one heli is based in Fredrick-Firestone). I don't know if Flight for Life will.

I'm pretty sure they run medic/EMT rigs... I'm not totally sure but I know they employ EMTs and the ALS-intercept type system you described is rare in CO.. I can't think of anywhere relatively large on the Front Range that does. Most larger services you'll find here on the Front Range will either run dual medic or medic/EMT.
