Hello, I have been looking into state to state reciprocity and all the information I have found differs. I am curious if anyone has any experience with specific states regulations on EMS reciprocity? Which states are the easiest and what is required. I currently have state EMT-P certification in Illinois, but looking to move in the near future. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..

You really need a National Registry NR-Paramedic, it is far easier than state-based reciprocity.

I have been strongly considering the NR exam and would like to take it. I know a lot of states require it so it sounds like the best route. Even with NREMT-P I have read that some states have additional testing and/or fees. Just trying to find out which states are easiest to work with.

Most states have additional fees.

Having NR-P will make transitioning 100 times easier. Do you have an idea of where you'd like to end up? Some states like MD are a pain in the ***, and others like Minnesota and Iowa are very straight forward.

I've got a few places narrowed down. I've been looking around in Tennessee and Michigan. My main goal is to get out of the state of Illinois and find a solid, up to date EMS system to work for.

An up to date EMS system is going to be near impossible to find as there are none

I looked into Michigan and it's not that bad if you have NR-P. Not to sure about Tennessee.
