EVOC Questions...

Hey did anybody else have to take AMR's EVOC course. Is the writtent test pretty hard..I heard it was easy just common sense and that they're just face questions..Is the course with the driving hard too? Thanks

I didn't take the AMR course, but I took one. The test was completely common sense. I can't even begin to tell you how nervous I was for the driving portion. I passed, along with everyone else. Just go slow, and if you take out a few cones, go out in a blaze of glory and take the whole row!

There's one test where you drive down a row of tight cones of both sides, and then have to back up.

In typical Paramedic style, the medic was drinking a coffee with one hand, eating a donut with the other, and driving with his knees. When the supervisor started shouting at him, the guy smiled, adjusted the rig so he'd hit the cones head on, and gunned it. It took a good five minutes to set all of those cones back up!
