Hey guys, I've been an EMT-B for a few months and have been applying to all sorts of places just to get my foot in the door (agencies, hospitals, urgent care centers, even retirement homes), but I've yet to get a reply.

Anyways there's a company called ER Ambulance and I don't really know much about them. Has Anyone worked for them before or is currently working for them? I've only met people who've met people who worked there and from what they say it's not a place you want to work at, but they weren't really clear on why. Any experiences would be great.

Well, there are mixed reviews. If you are looking to work in the field then go for it. Experience is the goal and San Diego is already over loaded with EMT/PM's. So take the job if its there. I worked there, and actully enjoyed the time and made some good friends. I learned a lot as well. Good luck and don't get caught up in the BLS gossip crap.

Thanks for the advice. San Diego is pretty full. I've got two friends who are in EMT school right now. And you're right, I really shouldn't pay too much attention to gossip, as long as I've got a job.

#1 thing to remember, do your job HONESTLY. Don't falsify your paperwork, nor anything regarding your patient care to suit your employer. You may or may not last at some of the local companies, but your reputation will always be a good one regardless of who you've worked for in the past if you do your job well.

Good luck.
