Hey guys, I am a college freshman at a university near L.A. earning a BS in biochemistry and am planning on taking emt classes next semester at a community college nearby.

I'm guessing a CC isn't the best place to take EMT classes but I can't really afford anything else now.

So how would you say the job outlook is for Los Angeles/Orange Counties? Ideally, I would work full time in the summer and part time during the school year..but obviously I will have to be flexible to whatever is available..

I know the job market is tough now, especially in California, but I am really willing to do anything I can get, for whatever pay I can get. I just want to get an entry level job with my certificate.

Any advice on job hunting? What jobs would I be able to work part-time during the school year? I heard IFT is not too hard to get into..anything else?

Thank you so much! =)

What university?

Also look at the Regional Occupational Programs (ROP). When I was an undergrad at UCI (Zot!), I did mine at Coastline ROP for like $120 including books.
