EMT Who Fought With Oklahoma Trooper Wants Officer to Lose Badge

In my opinion, at no time should an LEO stop an ambulance transporting a patient. I watched the video, and it did not look malicious. It appears that there was a vehicle yielding in front of the ambulance. It did not look to me that the ambulance driver was intentionally blowing off the officer. There was a patient in the ambulance and the LEO was told of this. The paramedic is in charge of the medical emergency. If the LEO has an issue, take it up after the patient has been transported to a definitive care facility. My $.02. I am now stepping down from my soap box.

If patient care was suddenly so important, then why did the medic step out of the unit? As far as I can tell, he managed to escalate the situation.

He got out because he was in charge and wanted to see what was going on.

You don't know what the deal was with his patient or if the patient needed instant attention from the medic.

If the medic was really smart, he would have just ordered the driver not to pull over and had the driver call dispatch.

Wow another thread on this topic to lock. The dancing lock must be tired by now.

It's only been 1 hour. Jon or ffemt or Chimpie will soon arrive. That won't however end the steady stream of people that can't take a hint. The topic has been beaten to death. We all get it...

The dancing lock never gets tired.

I think this "pig" should lose his job. We don't need anymore redneck out of control cops running around.

It's comments like this that cause threads like this to be closed.

If the conversation would have stayed civil it would have stayed open.

Not this again. I do believe that this thread will be merged with the other threads on this topic then locked by a CL.

I thought that FFEMT was clear that this topic was not to be revisited?

That aside, I am glad that the interview got posted. Perhaps we should just stay away from commentary so that this thread can serve as a place to keep this topic updated on this forum.
