It's hard to find the pay for EMT's... I know it's not a lot, but if anyone knows a range they can give me, I'd appreciate it. All job posting I've seen, no pay in the description. Thanks.

Here is the dirty truth that most won't tell you: you want to be a fire medic? So does 90% of the emt and paramedics in that area.
Most get their certs and volunteer, most will never find a paid FF gig, if they do they will be going waaay out of the area for it. There is too much competition. You will likely end up at one of two crappy private companies (though one pays their medics pretty well) and fight for hours tooth and nail, and do their time til they move on to nursing school or working in a hospital or you're one of the chosen few who get a FF job or a job an hour+ away at an okay service.

Move to texas. We have more EMS jobs than you can shake a stick at, granted fire/medic jobs are still highly competitive, but there is also a lot of private or county based 911 with decent pay.
