I just moved to san francisco, considering registering with the county for my emt, i of course have my national already but i was wondering from an employers stand point is it a blemish that my emt county license would need renewal in 4 months?
Why not just renew it? Your going to have to do it relatively soon, why not stay ahead of the game?
Everything else equal one prospect has a license good for 1+ year one prospect has a license that expires in 4 months which way do you think they are going to go? It's just less of a risk of a headache for them.
Plus your talking about an area that is oversaturated with EMTs. Stack the deck in your favor as much as you can.
true, but the recert class has already passed, the next one will take place when my license is in need of renewal. i can still certify with the county paying 147$ dollars which will cover me for 4 months, or wait painfully in my medical transport job that i have in the city. I guess im also wondering if my medical transport experience will out weigh my soon to expire county license and lure them to hire me. Regardless im recerting in march.
