I posted earlier this week. I found out the reason my school was gonnacost 3k is because they had me living out of state. Its 900 + a few hundred for books,uniform,etc.. So i think i will go and get it over with down here.. My question now is do i drop these two classes I am taking online? Or can i do all three.. Is emt met to take by its self or could someone take emt plus other classes. I would be going to school tuesday and thurs nights and do my rides and stuff on sat. My online classes just require me to attend three out of 7 days. How hard is emt. I am very interested in emt school so I am sure I will do good..

Thanks
Greg

Many people take classes and EMT classes at the same time. It really comes down to how hard you're willing to work. There is really no reason why you shouldn't be able to take your EMT classes while taking two other online classes. If it becomes a problem, you can always drop one or two and get your money back (depending on your college's rules).

I personally wasn't motivated enough to take three in-person classes and EMT-Basic classes at the same time. For three days a week I was in school from 8 AM - 10 PM, with break in between. It really comes down to you though, and you'll only know if it's too much when you find out what each class expects of you.

Good luck!

It would be work, but you could do both.

That new price sounds right. That is why I questioned the cost, it was way to high for a CC.

I'm planning on doing something similar except I'll be taking CLEP exams for my extra courses rather than attending classes. I've actually been ready for the CLEPs for a few months, but needed the money for EMT school first. I hope to have them finished before Christmas.

I'd say take the classes and see what you can handle. You can always adjust as you go.

i took 4 classes online and went to take my EMT...it is not hard but you better have a sugar momma to support you because you will have zero time for anything else.
