Hello, im currently an EMT-B in the state of New Hampshire and I am thinking of moving down to Massachussetts, I know that there not the most accomadating to other states licenses and I was wondering what hoops I'd have to jump through to work in the State? I know at the very least I will have to take their Test, which is fine, but do I have to do anything more like take whole new classes down there? Thanks for your time

Congratulations on your interest in moving to the commonwealth of MA! Since July, we have simplified the process significantly. If you still hold your NR (which you should), you follow two steps:

1) Send this verification form to NH OEMS with a self-addressed return envelope to YOU. The department verifies your standing as an EMT, and returns the form to you (signing across the flap for security).

2) Once that form is returned to you, complete THIS form, and send it to MA OEMS with a copy of your NR card, your CPR card, and the sealed verification form, as well as $150.

From there, it generally takes 2-3 weeks to process.
Good luck!!
