hello my name is Shayne I currently work in San Diego as an EMT-B. My wife and I are looking into moving out of California. I was looking to get input from fellow EMS employees about what state they are in and how they like the state job wise and for raising families. Thanks Shayne.
 
Are you planning on becoming a medic?

Yes sir I am, I currently have all my hours just need to do anatomy and physiology, as well as paramedic preparation.

Just curious as to why you are looking to move out of California?
 
If you like to push a lot, and I mean A LOT, of narcan- come to Colorado.
 
Everyone is pushing a lot of Narcan lately...I use more Narcan out here than I ever did in my college town in CO.

EDIT: Then again, your little corner of Colorado does play by their own rules...
 
Heroin is a BIG problem currently.
 
Miami Dade County Fire Department is hiring, Although, Miami is probably not the most ideal location to raise a family. However, Commuting is an option
