I've been a medic in WV for awhile now, as well as certified in VA. Wondering what the prospects are in that direction. I'd prefer 24's if available, because of the distance I'd be traveling, as well as maintains my two shifts here in WV. Any info on services in that region?

All 911 EMS is handled by the fire departments, so you would have to get hired and then go to a fire academy. All of them offer 24 hour shifts.

Otherwise IFT with a private company is your only other option. I know that PTS does 24 hour shifts but its pretty miserable work.

What CC said. NoVA Fire/Medics are very well paid though, so it could be worthwhile to make the transition if firefighting is something you're interested in.

I think Fredrick County, Maryland is hiring part time paramedics, but I don't know what their shift is like.
