Recently joined a rural ambulance service in East Texas. Will one day be making amove to medic. Not a real good market right now (at least with this company, full with medics). Anyways love it so far as EMT but cannot make career]support family on EMT salary, plus would love to have the skills and know how of Medic. Anyways, the local community colleges dont offer shift classes for those of us working the trucks. I was told it would be best to work ER tech at night and do school days. Just because of the amount of clinical hours and school schedule. What did you find works best? Will be getting at least 6 months to year before starting any medic schools. Company once had medic class, and might be starting up soon, but no gurantees or dates set. Stupid question, but is online not really honored in this fields?
