So, I'm going to be honest and just say I smoke weed. Well not anymore since I've stopped for about two months now . And I'm going to stay off it since that's not something I shouldn't be doing if I really want to be in this career. But the question I have is will I be okay with the testing ?
 
Maybe? No idea how long it lasts as detectable in your urine. My uneducated guess is you probably are fine now.

All depends on agency rules, state rules, etc. Your question is WAY too broad.

I can say in Maine, drug employment screens do test for marijuana amongst other drugs (thats just how the tests are), however a positive marijuana is not grounds for "no hire". Many do indulge. Many do not.
 
Most if not all ambulance drug tests are follicle which tends to last 6 to 9 months in the hair. So shave your entire body cause if no hair on your head they take from legs/arms. Good luck.
 
I've always done urine tests. All I know is Google says you should be good after a month since last use, but you will know for sure when you test. I would not shave off your hair. Good luck!
 
I've never know of an agency to do a hair follicle test. So you probably are fine. Worst case go bald! (Everywhere)
 
Do you have a pulse and an EMT cert? They will hire you on the Mexican border
 
What people don't realize; once they start using THC they give up their right to use and possess Firearms (as they have become "Prohibited Possessors" of Firearms under Fed Law).
 
Then there is the Drug Free Workplace Requirements for Providers that are enrolled to participate in Federally Funded Programs, (in which EMS derives a very large amount of income from).

Can't say I've ever heard of this happening for non federal jobs.

CCCSD is correct in that hair follicle testing can detect drug use months out. Urinalysis is short term, usually 72 hours at best.
