Do you wear your seatbelt in back?

i wear my seatbelt any time i'm not working on a pt. i don't call taking BP working on a pt. as bls i'm not doing all that much in the back, as they're already immobilized outside, and most bls skills don't require all that much moving around inside of the ambulance (unless they're a load & go pt).. if the medics need als assist then i'm not usually buckled in (as i'm having to go between the monitor, bags, bench, and whatnot.) but if i can do it buckled in, i absolutely will. it makes no sense to me with emts not wearing seatbelts...it's kind of like a respiratory therapist who is a chronic smoker.

It is REALLY a nice truck. Some of the ideas are already going fleet-wide... All new rigs are All-LED lighting, and many operations are already using the Road Safety system to track drivers. Finially, the seatbelts in the cabs of new rigs are a close match to "Omaha Orange" so that supervisors can monitor compliance with seatbelt usage.

Honestly. 100 percent of the time I'm in the front, I wear my seatbelt. When I'm in the back I wear it 100 percent of the time when we have no patient. Sadly, I admit when there's a patient in the back. . . . . . .it's maybe 50 percent of the time I wear my seatbelt. :(

Yeah, theres no excuse for no seatbelt in front.

The harness system sounds very interesting.
