Maryland had two DNRs, one that allowed palliative care only (basically wound care, position of comfort and oxygen), and one that allowed everything up to CPR, depending on what the pt wanted.

I love the DNRs that state meds and mechanical ventilation but no CPR or any odd combination of the above. Saw one that wanted CPR, BLS airway skills but no drugs or defibrillation, that was odd. One of those "what doc signed this" moments...

NV needs some help in the DNR region as well.

Like others have said DNR =/= do not treat.
