I know that the 3 lead is not giving me a complete picture of what's going on with a patients heart. I know that while I may assume its an issue with the implanted defib unit, and I may think that it probably is, I cannot be sure and for that will call ALS on this type of pt every single time. I think still that its irresponsible to advocate for BLS agencies to carry a mechanism for shutting off an implanted defib unit.
