Hello everyone. Its been awhile since i posted here. Ive recently had the thought of taking courses to become a EMT again. But overtime i have come to realize that i get alil....sick went talking about blood but not when i see it. I have no problem if i see it first hand but if i see it being discussed in class i get dizzy and upset stomach. Any solutions?

Wait... you can see it and have no problem, but you get queasy when you talk about it? That's the opposite of most people. :)

I'd say just breathe deep, sip some ginger ale and maybe nibble on some crackers to keep your stomach quiet.

It's really not that bad.

I get rather queasy when I see bloody wounds on TV, yet in person I'm completely fine. It's something you can work through and as long as you're good around them in person you should be fine.

I got queasy watching surgery: talking about it, watching video for class doesn't bother me. Seeing it on scene doesn't bother me. But seeing it done intentionally during surgery after doing intubations does.
Weird
