is there any truth to casino's hiring EMTs in southern california:ph34r:?

I worked at one before easy good money but not too many calls... got boring quick

I work and Pechanga as an EMT. I left AMR for this job, and while I don't lots of "cool" calls, we do get some. In reality, the spectrum is about the same for 911 with just a smaller volume, which runs about 3 a day.

The reason I work there is because we start our people off at $16.50/hr with full benefits after 90 days. It's actually a nice place to work. The only unique thing about the place from other casinos is that we are not security, nor are we tasked with security duties. We only respond to medical aids, first aid kit refills, and change out sharps containers.

We just hired a gut two weeks ago. He promptly self-destructed, He said it was the smoke, but it was all attitude. I still don't know how he got through the interview process.

Oh man! Do you have any number i could call or a name of someone i could talk to to work there? Id really appreciate it.

Pachenga is a great to work as a EMT I have heard it is extremely hard to get hired though

The biggest hurdle is just having the position open up. After that, the test usually weeds out about half of the pool (It's nothing special, really), then interview. The problem is that we rarely have more than one or two spots open at any one time...

Out most recent spot opened up about 2 months ago. Before that, our last hiring occurred more than two years ago. There are only 12 of us after all.
