I live in ohio and work as an emt for a private ems comp. and in fear of being laid off. There are absolutely no fire/ems agencies that are hiring in the area. I Have my 240 and was checking other states and saw that the Carolinas are hiring in a few cities. I heard it is non-union down there. Was wondering if anyone currently works in either of these states. Sorry if it sounds dumb, just wondering if anyone can give me some info.

Thanks

Here in the Mid-State we are hiring on both the private and public level. Pay is $12-13.75 per hour for private and $11-14.75 per hour for public Basic level. That is starting pay for 0 experience.

Wake County EMS is hiring. They have a relatively progressive EMS system, good equipment, and seemingly strong leadership.
